I am a rock climbing and mountaineering instructor based in the Forest of Dean, where I have
easy access to the limestone cliffs of the Wye Valley. Although I have climbable rock within 5oo
meters of where I live, I take every opportunity to climb in North Wales, Scotland, Picos de
Europa- Spain and the European Alps.
I have worked as an instructor for over 15 years with work as varied as abseiling off city centre
towers to trek leading in the Arctic.
I hold the Mountain Instructor Certificate which is the highest qualification for instructing
summer and winter climbing, and all related mountaineering activities, in the UK.
I am also a member of the British Mountaineering Council
the Mountain Leader Training Association
and the Association of Mountaineering Instructors
